Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Prices shown on this website, including any example or starting prices, are indicative only and do not form an offer. Every project is different, and the final price depends on a survey of your property and the exact specification agreed with you.
A quote we provide becomes binding only when it is confirmed in writing and accepted by you. Quotes are normally valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. If the scope of work changes after acceptance, we will agree any price changes with you in writing before proceeding.
We will carry out agreed work with reasonable care and skill and in line with the written specification. Timescales we give are estimates made in good faith; they can be affected by weather, material availability, access to the property and matters discovered once work begins.
You are responsible for giving us reasonable access to the property and for letting us know about anything relevant that you are aware of, such as asbestos, structural issues or restrictions affecting the property.
Where the work needs planning permission, building regulations approval or freeholder consent, responsibility for obtaining these will be agreed with you before work starts.
Payment terms, including any deposit and stage payments, are set out in your quote or contract. Invoices are payable by the date stated on them. We may pause work where payments are overdue.
Materials remain our property until paid for in full.
Any guarantee on our workmanship will be stated in your quote or contract. Guarantees cover defects in our workmanship and do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, alterations by others or damage caused by events outside our control. Manufacturer warranties on products and materials are passed on to you where available.
If you contact us away from our business premises, for example at your home, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract. If you ask us to start work within that period and then cancel, you may be required to pay for the work done and materials ordered up to that point.
We carry public liability insurance appropriate to our work. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Apart from that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses where we are providing services to you as a consumer.
